Belize face St Lucia at 4:00 pm on Friday to close participation in 2023 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship Qualifiers in Managua

The Under-20 Belize Women’s National Team (BWNT) closes its participation in the 2023 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship Qualifiers playing against St Lucia at 4:00 pm at the Estadio Nacional de Fútbol in Managua.

Belize have lost the first three Group F matches in the championship. Last Saturday, our team stumbled against Costa Rica in a 13-0 loss. On Monday, the BWNT fell 3-0 to Guatemala, and on Wednesday they played gallantly but were edged 3-2 by Nicaragua.

Today’s match is the BWNT’s best opportunity for a win. Their last opponent, St Lucia, lost 9-0 to Costa Rica and 5-0 to Guatemala.

Nicaragua play Costa Rica today at 7:00 pm.

Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Nicaragua lead the group with six points each. St Lucia and Belize don’t have a point as yet. All teams have played two games but Belize has played three.
