Belize Weather: The heat is on

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Seasonably warm temperatures and dry conditions prevail countrywide according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies today are forecasted to be mostly sunny and tonight clear to partly cloudy with little to no rainfall expected.

High temperatures run to 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 96 degrees in inland areas and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 78 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots and sea state is choppy.

Tides will be high at 10:16 this morning and 11:41 this evening and low at 5:33 this evening. The sun sets at 6:10 this evening and rises at 5:32 Saturday morning.

Saturday will be hot and dry and a heat alert will go into effect, especially for residents living inland.
