Cracking down on crime: Police expand anti-firearms operations to Belize City, uncovering dangerous .9mm pistol

By Breaking Belize News Staff: An illegal firearm was found in Belize City recently as police continue sustained operations to get guns and drugs off the street.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, officers in the La Croix Boulevard area searched an abandoned lot near the riverside where they found a .9mm pistol.

There was no one in the vicinity at the time of the discovery, so the officers labeled the gun as found property.

The find was one of two made within the Belize District recently.
