By Breaking Belize News Staff: Seasonably warm and dry conditions prevail according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies today will be sunny and tonight partly cloudy with warm temperatures and little to no rain expected, except for a chance of isolated thunderstorms over the Maya Mountains this afternoon and evening.
Maximum temperatures will be 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 98 degrees in inland areas and 86 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 80 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect and residents, especially those living inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid as much outdoor activity as possible today and especially this afternoon.
Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots; sea state is choppy.
Tides will be high at 12:04 this afternoon then low at 7:59 this evening. The sun sets at 6:11 this evening and rises at 5:30 Tuesday morning.
Similar weather conditions should be expected on Tuesday.
