Belize City man charged for wounding after throwing pint bottle that hit female school warden

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man was fined this week after hitting female school warden with a pint bottle during an altercation.

Twenty-three-year-old Floyd Kishawn Myers appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday, charged with a single count of wounding. He immediately pleaded guilty to the offense and told the court that he was sorry for what he did. He also pleaded with the Magistrate to impose a fine instead of prison time.

He was fined $1,000 plus $5.00 cost of court and given until October 27, 2023, to pay or he faces four months in prison.

The altercation happened on Sunday, April 23.
