Over the next 2 days, participants will share best practices and lessons learnt to address crime and violence in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Ministry of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries noted that the objective is for this exchange to contribute to the design and implementation of gender-sensitive evidence-based public policies.
The Infosegura project focuses on strengthening multi-dimensional crime data with a gender lens to influence decision making by policy makers, police commanders and other key partners.
Participating countries are Belize, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Colombia.
