Belize Weather: Fair, warm and dry

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, seasonally hot and dry conditions will continue to dominate our weather. The 24-hour forecast is for sunny and hazy skies with no rain, except for the possibility of isolated afternoon thunderstorms inland. Tonight will be partly cloudy with no rainfall.

High temperatures range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast to 97 degrees over inland areas and 88 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 80 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect and residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible today.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots. Seas are running choppy.

Tides will be low at 1:43 this afternoon and high at 10:07 this evening. The sun sets at 6:11 this evening and rises at 5:29 Thursday morning.

Expect continuing hot and dry conditions on Thursday and Thursday night.
