Ministry of Agriculture getting ready for opening of National Agriculture and Trade Show on Friday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE) is working on the final preparations for the opening of National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) on Friday.

The Opening Ceremony will begin with the Inspection of the Guard by Prime Minister John Briceño at 3:00 p.m.

Mayor of Belmopan Sheran Palacio will deliver the welcome address before remarks by Minister of Agriculture Jose Abelardo Mai.

Invited guest Elmer Oliva Pacheco, Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Guatemala’s Peten Department’s Ministry of Agriculture, Peten will also give remarks.

Chief Agriculture Office Dr Victoriano Pascual will then sash the Farmers of the Year: Women’s Farmer Esmeralda Stanley, Men’s Farmer Adrian Bartley, and Junior Farmer Axel Perez.

The guest speaker will be Gilbert Canton, Jr.

The Pannerifix Band will perform during the opening.

MAFSE CEO Servulo Baeza will give the vote of thanks.
