Taiwan Ambassador to Belize tour Corozal-Sarteneja Road Upgrading Project

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On April 25, 2023, Taiwan Ambassador to Belize, Lily Li-Wen Hsu visited the construction site of the Corozal-Sarteneja Road Upgrading Project.

Ambassador Hsu was accompanied by Tony Chang, Deputy General-Manager of Overseas Engineering and Construction Co. (OECC) and his team to share updates on the project.

“The Government of Taiwan is proud to participate in this significant cooperation project with the Belizean government. We believe that by improving the road infrastructure and constructing two new bridges, this project will provide safer travel and greater convenience for the region and the local community,” the Taiwan Embassy said.

The Taiwan Embassy pledged to continue to work closely with the Government of Belize and OECC to monitor progress of the project and to ensure that it will be completed on schedule as planned.
