Belize City’s St John Vianney claim Boys Belize District Primary Schools Basketball Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize City’s St John Vianney won the Boys Belize District Primary Schools Basketball Championship on Tuesday at the Mexico Center in Belize City.

St John Vianney defeated All Saints in the championship 14-9. Rayvaune Smith scored eight points for St John’s. Emmanuel Barrow scored three for All Saints.

St John Vianney had won the Belize City championship over All Saints 14-13 on Monday.

St John Vianney beat San Pedro 16-10 in the semifinals while All Saints defeated Our Lady of the Way RC 25-16.

The Belize District Primary Schools Basketball Championship was organized by the National Sports Council.

St John Vianney will represent the Belize District along with the girls of Island Academy in the National Primary School Basketball Championship 2023 to be held in Dangriga at the Russell ‘Chiste’ Garcia Auditorium and the Ecumenical High School Auditorium on Friday, April 28.
