Belizean cyclist Derrick Chavarria wins two races in the United States, competes in pro race

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Derrick Chavarria, riding for C-Town Racing, won two races in the United States over the last weekend.

According to information from Rick Ayuso, Derrick won two races, one as in a Category 4/5 event and the other in Category 2/3 in the Athens Orthopedic Clinic Twilight Criterium in Georgia.

Later he placed 28 among 110 riders in La Grange Crit Mens Pro ½.

According to Rick Ayuso, Derrick finished “at number 28 ahead of legion of LA rider and other top riders. See results for yourself. This was the Pro field event.”

Chavarria, who is studying at Lees-McRae College in North Carolina, was recently here for the Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic.
