International News: Renowned Talk show host, Jerry Springer dies aged 79

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Jerry Springer, host of the infamous, Jerry Springer show has passed away.

Springer was known for his popular TV talk show spanning three decades from 1991.

Spokesperson for the family, Jene Galvin said that Springer is “irreplaceable”.

“Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word,” he said.

“He’s irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humour will live on,” he added.

Before the launch of The Jerry Springer show, Springer was a political reporter and commentator.

He also served as Mayor of Cincinnati and a political campaign adviser to Robert F Kennedy.
