Ministry of Health and Wellness celebrate Vaccination Week with health fairs

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Health and Wellness joins the region in celebrating Vaccination Week in the Americas.

The week is being celebrated from April 22 to 29, 2023 with health fairs being held at various clinics and hospitals countrywide.

Vaccination week 2023 is being commemorated under the theme, “Get up-to-date” #eachvaccinecounts.

The Ministry reminds the public that COVID-19 vaccines are available at clinics countrywide.

Adolescents can also get vaccines to protect them from Diphtheria, Tetanus, HPV infection, COVID-19 and Influenza.

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) joined the health fair at the Central Health Region where the public including children learned about mental health, safety measures in road traffic accidents, the importance of vaccines, and more.

The public is encouraged to get vaccinated to avoid different diseases.
