Agric Show Rodeo and Livestock Show starts at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Sunday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: If you visit the National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) Committee, you should make it to the Rodeo and the Livestock Show, one of the biggest attractions. On both Saturday and Sunday, the rodeo starts at 1:00 pm.

The Rodeo and Livestock Show will be held at the Kent Smith Rodeo Arena at the NATS Grounds in Belmopan. 

On Saturday, the first events are for participants Under 12 years: barrel and arena races for boys and girls and calf riding for boys.

Those events will be followed by events for young men and women Under 18: Open barrel and arena races for young men and women and calf riding and break away roping for young men.

The main event, bull riding for men Above 18 is set for Sunday, April 30. That day, participants above 18 may also sign up for Open Barrel Race for men and women, arena race for men and women, pole bending men, calf roping for men, team roping 2 loops for men, and tie down.

Persons wanting to register have up to 11:00 am on Saturday and up to 10:30 am on Sunday to register for the different events.

The NATS Committee said events must have a minimum of three entries for the contest to be held.

The Committee emphasized that participants will be disqualified if they don’t show up after the third call or if they are suspected of being under the influence of any intoxicating substance or illicit drug. Those disqualified will not receive refunds.

Events are on a first come, first served basis.

All those participating must sign an injury and damage to property disclaimer to be allowed to participate.
