Tourism industry stakeholders discuss Belize Airlift Development

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On April 28, 2023, tourism industry stakeholders and private sector members met at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza for the first-ever Belize Airlift Development Conference.

The conference was hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and the Belize Tourism Board (BTB).

The conference was opened by Evan Tillett, Director of Tourism, followed by remarks from Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations.

Presenters from various companies shared the latest industry updates on the airline industry and regional tourism, including representatives from Alaska Airlines, VivaAerobus, West Jet, Copa, and Campbell Hill.

The conference concluded with updates about plans for the Philip Goldson International Airport and the vision for the next 20 years.
