Belize Weather: Late season cold front brings relief from the heat

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts moist conditions prevailing, bringing relief from strong heat. Skies will be cloudy at times today with isolated showers and possible inland or Southern thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight, with a few showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms over Central, Southern and coastal areas.

High temperatures peak at 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 91 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 77 degrees along the coast, 71 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are westerly to northwesterly at 10 to 20 knots becoming easterly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots and sea state is moderate.

Tides will be low at 12:52 this afternoon and high at 6:41 this evening. The sun sets at 6:12 this evening and rises at 5:26 Monday morning.

Monday sees mainly fair weather with lingering showers and periods of rain offshore and in the south in the morning.
