Holy Redeemer Credit Union booking counseling sessions to help staff cope with the sudden death of colleague Charles Canton

By Benjamin Flowers: Holy Redeemer Credit Union (HRCU) is seeking professional help for staff members to assist them to cope with the sudden loss of their co-worker Charles Canton, who was fatally shot on Friday.

HRCU issued a statement this weekend, offering condolences to both Cantun’s family as well as the family of 24-year-old Tehje Vaughan who has since been charged with manslaughter by negligence in connection with Canton’s death.

“Special therapy and counseling sessions have been arranged for our staff and we are asking member-owners to please be patient with us as we mourn the passing of our beloved Charles and prepare to lay him to rest,” HRCU said.

HRCU said that its Board of Directors, Committees, Management, and Staff are saddened by the situation and are praying for both families affected.

On Friday, April 28, around 5:30 p.m. Cantun and Vaughn were inside his SUV when Vaughn allegedly picked up the firearm which was on the handrest and pulled the trigger, fatally wounding Canton.

She was officially charged by police earlier today.
