By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) Organizing Committee confirmed late Sunday that preliminary reports are that 34,270 flocked to the 51st National Agric Show this past weekend.
13,500 visited ‘Agric’ on Saturday and 20,770 on Sunday. In total, that’s 5,133 more than last year, though the unofficial numbers don’t say if this number includes the non-paying visitors such as the invited guests. If it doesn’t, then the difference would be even greater. However, we’ll know that once the official figures are released.
Last year, 29,137 attended the 50th Agric Show. Paying visitors alone, 10,961 visited on Saturday and 15,782 did so on Sunday. A total of 2,384 regional delegates and guests were counted in the 29,137 total.
“Thanks to everyone who made this year’s National Agricultural and Trade Show a successful one,” the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE) said.
“We will see you all next year.”
MAFSE celebrated the 51th anniversary of the National Agriculture and Trade Show on April 28-30, under the three-year theme “Innovations in Technology: Driving a Climate Resilient and Competitive Agriculture and Food Sector”.
