By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 29-year-old Belize City man has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Jarvis Matthew appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court along with his attorney Ian Gray to answer to a single count of rape of a child.
No plea was taken from Matthew as the matter will be dealt with on indictment. He was remanded until June 28.
The allegation against him is that sometime in November 2022, he raped the minor, who was 15 years and 4 months old at the time.
