Belize face Panama on Tuesday in U-15 Uncaf Boys FIFA Forward Championship in Costa Rica

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize are playing their final group game at 11:00 am today (Tuesday) against Panama in the U-15 Uncaf Boys FIFA Forward Championship at Liga Deportiva Alajuelense’s High Performance Center in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

This should be a tough game considering our Under-15 Belize Boys National Team (BBNT) lost 7-0 to Honduras on Sunday and Panama had beaten Honduras 2-1 on Friday.

The Belize side started out with a 4-1 loss to Guatemala on Friday.

Having defeated Panama 2-1, Guatemala lead Group A with six points, followed by Panama and Honduras with three points each. Belize don’t have any points.

Honduras close Group A play facing Guatemala at 3:00 pm.

Costa Rica and Puerto Rico lead Group B with four points each. El Salvador follow with three, and Nicaragua don’t have any.

In Group B, Costa Rica pumped El Salvador 5-0 while Puerto Rico edged Nicaragua 3-2 on Sunday.

On Friday, El Salvador beat Nicaragua 3-1 while Costa Rica drew 3-3 with Puerto Rico.

El Salvador play Puerto Rico at 11:00 am and Costa Rica close against Nicaragua at 3:00 pm.

The BBNT will play a final ranking game on Thursday, May 4.
