Anthony Carballo Jr charged for murder of Sylvain Swift

By Aaron Humes: He may have eluded them on the night Sylvain Swift died, but police say they have caught their man in the murder investigation.

Charged with murder is Anthony Carballo Jr, 29, who is reportedly out on bail on another murder charge.

Carballo was read the charges before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford on Tuesday and remanded without bail to the Central Prison until June.

Carballo is accused of being one of two men who fired on Swift as he was socializing on Antelope Street near Central American Boulevard before escaping a police officer. The other person is still at large.
