By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizean Chevening Scholars Edgar Correa and Randall Sheppard today attended one of the 2023 Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace in London, England.

“Hosted by The King and The Queen Consort, accompanied by The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent, these annual events are an opportunity to recognise and reward those who have made a positive impact in their communities,” the British High Commission in Belmopan said in a statement posted on social media.

Correa and Sheppard are recipients of the 2022/2023 Chevening Scholarships.

“Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarships programme,” Belize (Chevening Scholarship) says on its website.

“Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations, we offer awards to study in the UK for one year on a fully funded master’s degree course.”
