BREAKING: Elroy ‘Cabbage’ Quinones is dead, Dangriga funeral home confirms

By Aaron Humes: Reports from Dangriga tonight are that shooting victim Elroy Quinones, known as ‘Cabbage,’ has died at the Southern Regional Hospital.

Quinones was shot earlier tonight in the ‘Back-A-Town’ area of the Culture Capital.

According to Dangriga’s Empire Funeral Home on social media, the entire town has been saddened by the loss of Elroy Quinones, described as an “amazing father, brother, uncle and son.”

It continued: “Only with gun violence do we respond to repeated tragedies by saying that mourning is acceptable but discussing how to prevent more tragedies is not, that’s unacceptable. As others have observed, talking about how to stop gun violence and having regular meetings with the ones who circulate weapons on the street in the aftermath of a string of murders isn’t ‘too soon.’ It’s much too late.”

Police investigations are underway and the funeral home asked to keep Quinones’ family in prayer.
