Friends for Conservation and Development conduct educational farm visits in Vaca Plateau, Cayo

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Friends for Conservation and Development (FCD) conducted educational farm visits in Vaca Plateau in the Cayo District in March 2023.

FCD’s Environmental Educator along with the Belize Forest Department Officer Joshua Marin met with farmers who were sensitized and reminded of the importance of preventing forest fires.

In addition, the officers shared with farmers guidelines on preventing forest fires.

Farmers received posters and market bags with key messages on preventative methods.
