“We complain about the excessive heat now, and in a little over a month, we’ll be complaining about the rains,” the MIDH said.
“The truth is, the dry offers our MIDH team a great opportunity to get major work done. Heavy duty culverts are currently being installed at strategic locations on sugar roads in the Orange Walk District, to facilitate proper drainage, which will mean less damage to the road itself.”
The Orange Walk sugar roads the only way to get the sugar cane to the factory, so they are of utmost importance to the sugar industry. Their maintenance is paramount.
