Minister of Sports, Rodwell Ferguson elected President of Central American and Caribbean Sports Council

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Minister of Youth, Sports and Transport, Rodwell Ferguson is in Colombia attending a regional sports summit.

Ferguson has been elected the President of Central American and Caribbean Sports Council (CONCECADE).

The regional Sports summit is being held from May 3 to 5, 2023.

The CONCECADE is the regional body that organizes sports at the juvenile level.

Member countries discussed details of the organization of the XI Central American and Caribbean Student Sports Games which will take place in Venezuela this year.

Discussions will also include Social Sports for Development; recreation, physical activity and school sports.

Ferguson thanked his counterparts in Nicaragua for nominating him for the post.
