By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Elite Basketball League says voting is now open for fans to select the All-Star team for the All-Star game that comes up in two weeks’ time.

“The Belize Elite Basketball League All-Star voting is officially open and will close on Sunday, May 14th, at 11:59 p.m., giving fans the opportunity to vote for the 2023 BEBL All-Star Players Via the new BEBL Website,” the BEBL said.

The BEBL All-Star Game has been scheduled for Saturday, May 20 at 9 p.m. at the Russell ‘Chiste’ Garcia Auditorium in Dangriga.

The BEBL said fans may vote for one player at each of the 5 different positions via their website. Fans are only allowed one vote per position per device.

According to the BEBL, fan can choose from a pool of 40 current BEBL players.

“The top 24 players will be selected,” the BEBL said.

The BEBL said voting will close on Sunday, May 14 adding that the selection of the captains has been set for Tuesday, May 16.

“The two players with the most votes will be selected as Team Captains and will then select their players via live draft on the TNC sports show on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023,” the BEBL said.
