By Aaron Humes: The Bainton family of Ladyville has been afflicted by multiple family issues since last year and matters were not helped by the sudden passing of James Bainton, 20, who died after being shot Thursday night.
As explained by Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, “…sometime after 10 p.m., police were called to an area where there was a fight. Upon arrival, two persons were found with injuries, one stab wounds, and the other beaten up. Those persons were taken to the hospital and moments later, police got a call of a shooting and upon arrival, they found the lifeless body of a male person. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.”
As for suspects and motive, the Commissioner issued these further details: “Our investigators are on the ground trying to ascertain as much as they could have. We are sure that the shooting [results from] the earlier fight. We are looking for one suspect at this time. The murder weapon for that has also been found, but we are still trying to find the suspect [who is] known to police.”
