Chukka Airboat Tours office burgled

By Aaron Humes: The Mile 10, George Price Highway offices of Chukka Airboat Tours were targeted this morning by armed robbers who held up and tied up two security guards.

A police patrol that had been working the Western Paradise area was alerted just after three a.m. and informed that five armed men broke into the premises, surprising security guards James Ramos and Ian Beyer around 1:30 a.m.

Both men were robbed of their belongings and tied up, then taken to another building where souvenirs and other items sold to tourists were located.

The burglars reportedly destroyed the building’s electricity meter to avoid being recorded on camera and stole numerous items including alcoholic beverages.

The men were all wearing masks and left at ten minutes to three a.m. via a brown small car resembling a Toyota Camry.

Police have opened an investigation.
