By Breaking Belize News Staff: Christopher Pitts, the second suspect charged in connection with the murder of 30-year-old, Silvian Swift, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on his 20th birthday.
Pitts appeared unrepresented in court on Monday before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford where he was read a single charge of murder. He pleaded not guilty and bail was denied. He was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until July 3 where he joins co-accused 29-year-old Anthony Leroy Carballo Jr. Who was arraigned and remanded on May 2.
Reports are that Swift, a resident of #27 Antelope Street, was standing talking with someone at the corner of Antelope Street and Central American when two men rode by on a motorcycle and opened fire hitting Swift twice, once to the left arm and once to the left side of his neck.
