By Breaking Belize News Staff: Seasonally warm and mostly dry conditions prevail, according to the National Meteorological Service. The 24-hour forecast is for sunny skies today with cloudy spells. Tonight, the skies will be partly cloudy. Besides isolated thunderstorms developing over the Maya Mountains during the afternoon or evening, little to no rainfall is expected elsewhere.
High temperatures reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 97 degrees in inland areas, and 89 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 81 degrees along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 67 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect; residents especially of inland areas should stay hydrated and avoid outside activities during the afternoon.
Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots, and sea state is running moderate.
Tides will be low at 7:36 this morning, high at 1:54 this afternoon and low at 9:52 this evening. The sun sets at 6:16 this evening, rising at 5:21 on Friday morning.
Friday and Friday night sees fair and warm weather with isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms developing mainly south and inland areas.
