By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Audubon Society (BAS) is holding its 54th annual general meeting on Saturday at Crooked Tree at the Birds Eye View property.
The BAS said Saturday also happens to be a special day for bird lovers, as it coincides with the Global Big Day and World Migratory Bird Day. Plus, the Crooked Tree Cashew Festival is also being celebrated this weekend. So, they’ll have their hands full.
The AGM runs from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
“From 11 am onwards, we will walk the sanctuary trails to seek out the dazzling colors of numerous bird species of this
birdwatcher’s paradise,” the BAS said to its members.
“You’ll contribute to the Global Big Day, a special bird count day sponsored by eBird, adding to the global effort of understanding and conserving our feathered friends.”
