By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize City resident Ignatius Williams has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison after having his bail revoked in the High Court of Belize this week.
On August 20, 2018, Williams was busted with an unlicensed firearm and was granted bail. While out on bail he was charged for rape and was later convicted for the firearms offense, for which he served four years in prison.
He appeared in the High Court on Thursday, hoping to have the bail he was on for his firearms offense, reinstated while awaiting the rape trial; however, that bail was revoked as he was charged while out on bail which violated his bail conditions.
Williams is due back in court on July 3.
