By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Ninety-seven Standard III students from La Inmaculada R.C. School from Orange Walk Town, accompanied by 106 parents and 4 teachers, went on a field trip to agricultural facilities in the Cayo District on Thursday, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise(MAFSE).
The 207-strong visitors first toured the Western Dairies Processing Facility in the Mennonite community of Spanish Lookout. There the students learned about the good practices of milk production and processing.
They then visited the Agriculture Ministry’s Agro-processing Facility and the Sheep & Goat Breeding Center at Central Farm.
MAFSE said the Orange Walk’s students’ visit was an interactive and educational experience.
