By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 27-year-old Burrell Boom resident has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison in connection with a shooting in St. Paul’s Village.
Howard Reyes was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on one count of attempted murder, one count of use of deadly means of harm and one count of wounding upon James Alexander Perry. He was additionally charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm upon Casey Haylock.
No plea was taken and he was remanded to prison until July 14.
On Tuesday, May 9, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they found Perry suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Reports are that he was walking home when an SUV pulled up beside him and someone from inside it opened fire upon him.
