By Breaking Belize News Staff: The trial date for Kriston Smith, who is currently on remand at the Belize Central Prison for burglary, has been set.
At his last court appearance, Smith learned his trial date will be July 20 and received his disclosure for the evidence the prosecution intends to bring against him.
Smith stands accused of a burglary on February 22, when he allegedly broke into an auxiliary building at the Magistrate’s Court office on Treasury Lane and stole over $2,000 worth of tools that were left in there, and another burglary on February 25 where he allegedly broke into a house on Dickenson Street and stole over $3,000 of personal items and tools.
Notably, he was also charged on May 9 with theft for stealing over $600 in items from a Belize City woman.
