By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts warm and mostly dry conditions prevailing today. Skies will be mostly sunny today and clear to partly cloudy tonight with a chance of an isolated thunderstorm over the mountains this afternoon, but no rain anywhere else.
High temperatures reach 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 97 degrees over inland areas and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 79 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect and residents especially in inland areas are advised to stay hydrated and avoid much outside activities this afternoon.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to 10 knots and sea state is slight.
Tides will be low at 3:06 this afternoon and high at 9:19 this evening. The sun sets at 6:18 this evening and rises at 5:19 Thursday morning.
Thursday sees continuing fair skies and warm weather.
