Two arrested for shooting and metal pipe attack in Orange Walk

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have arrested two Orange Walk residents in connection with an incident where one man was shot and another was beaten with a metal pipe in Orange Walk.

Yesterday, police charged 28-year-old Rigoberto Garcia and 25-year-old Benito Torres in connection with the incident where Pedro Molina and Luis Ucan were both injured.

Garcia was charged with one count of attempted murder committed upon Pedro Molina, one count of attempted murder committed upon Luis Ucan, one count of wounding committed upon Pedro Molina, and one count of use of deadly means upon Pedro Molina.

Torres was charged with one count of abetment to commit murder committed upon Luis Ucan, one count of Abetment to commit murder committed upon Pedro Molina, one count of aggravated assault committed upon Luis Ucan, one count of Aggravated Assault committed upon Pedro Molina, and one count of wounding upon Pedro Molina.

The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13.
