Belize Weather: Fair and very warm as heat alert issued

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Mostly dry and hot – emphasis on hot – conditions prevail today and for the next few days according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies will be mostly sunny today and partly cloudy tonight. There will be little or no rain expected.

High temperatures are 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 97 degrees inland and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight temperatures will reach 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills. Inland residents especially are advised to remain hydrated and limit their outdoor activities as much as possible due to the heat.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to ten knots and sea conditions slight.

Tides will be low at 3:52 this afternoon, then high at 10:07 this evening. Sunset is at 6:18 this evening and sunrise Friday morning is at half past five.

The extended forecast is for similar weather conditions on Friday.
