Divine Mercy Church hosts ‘Art Under the Stars’ benefit concert on Saturday night

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Divine Mercy Church in Belize City is hosting an outdoor benefit concert on Saturday night titled “Art Under the Stars” at mile 2 1/2 on the Philip Goldson Highway, the proceeds of which will aid its Mother of Mercy Montessori daycare.

Performances will include the Pannerifix Steelband, Silver Strings Guitar Ensemble, D’s Dance Studio, Belize Afro Dance Formation, Pallotti School of Music, Jackie Castillo, SJCJC Voice Ensemble, Shanya Garnett and live art by Alex Sanker.

The concert kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the area behind the Divine Mercy Church. Tickets sell for $25 for adults and $15 for kids (4-14 years old). VIP tickets are available for tables of 6 for $250. Food and refreshments will be on sale. Tickets are available at Pink Boutique and at Divine Mercy Church.

The Mother of Mercy Montessori is a daycare for kids 2 1/2 to 6 years old. “It’s a place where they can encounter Jesus, one another and discover their own gifts and talents and grow in a community of love,” Father Scott Giuliani said of the program.
