By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Betsy Perez of Orange Walk’s Guinea Grass RC girls was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the National Catholic Primary Schools Principals Association Championship for the Bishop’s Cup played on Friday at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.

Guinea Grass RC defeated Cayo’s Valley of Peace’s Monsignor Oscar Romero RC 2-0 in the Final on goals by Perez and Ailani Santos.

Perez shared the Topscorer award with Christel Tzul of Copper Bank’s San Jose RC.

Guinea Grass goalkeeper Lizienny Hernandez won Best Goalkeeper

San Jose RC from the Toledo District won third place with a 2-1 victory over Copper Bank RC from Corozal who finished in fourth place.
