Drunken man stabbed during fight in Cotton Tree Village refused to cooperate with police

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A man was stabbed in a fight in Cotton Tree Village today, but police investigations have stalled as he refused to cooperate with the investigating officers.

Reports are that 23-year-old Maurice Jones was admitted to the Emergency Room at the Western Regional Hospital with small stab wounds to the right cheek as well as to the back of the head on the right and left sides.

Officers say that Jones, who appeared heavily under the influence of alcohol, explained he was in a fight but began behaving brashly so they could not get any further information from him.
