Accused Wilmer Rivera charged in Jasmine Aguilar stabbing

By Aaron Humes: Wilmer Rivera, 31, the ex of Jasmine Alondra Aguilar, has been charged with her attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm following a stabbing incident on Friday morning.

Rivera is alleged to have caused cut injuries to Aguilar’s throat and stabbed her as she was waiting for a taxi in the Linda Vista Estate area along the George Price Highway. Bystanders including former police officer Darrell “Tutsi” Usher came to her aid. They managed to detain the attacker and get the injured woman to the hospital, where she remains in stable condition.

Police indicated that Aguilar had previously made a complaint to the Domestic Violence Unit (DVU) concerning Rivera, which it dealt with.
