Belize Weather: Continued sunny skies but some showers expected

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. There will be isolated showers and the chance for thunderstorms developing inland this afternoon.

High temperatures are to reach 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 97 degrees over inland areas and 86 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 81 degrees along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to ten knots and sea waves slight.

A heat alert is in effect. Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible, especially during the afternoon hours.

Tides will be high at 11:42 this morning and low at 7:36 this evening. The sun sets at 6:20 this evening and rises at 5:18 Wednesday morning.

Wednesday sees continued fair and warm conditions with isolated showers and a chance of isolated thunderstorms inland in the afternoon.
