Prime Minister and Japan Ambassador discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Prime Minister John Briceño met with Japan’s Ambassador to Belize, Shirakata Nobuyuki.

The Prime Minister noted that Belize’s bilateral partners continue to contribute to our development and broaden potential support for causes of national interest.

“We discussed areas for strengthening bilateral cooperation and of mutual interests and benefit.  We look forward to his productive tour of service in Belize,” PM Briceño said.

Last year, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise received a 40-foot cold storage unit donated by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
