Belize City Mayor shares role of local government with students in Ladyville

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On May 23, 2023, Mayor of Belize City, Bernard Wagner shared with students at Ladyville Evangelical Primary School the important role that the local government plays in the development of the community and nation.

“It is essential for every citizen to understand the role of local government regardless of age, it was a pleasure to share this valuable information with future community leaders,” Mayor Wagner said.

Throughout the presentation, the students demonstrated enthusiasm in learning more about the function of local government.

“Their questions and active participation made this experience even more enjoyable. We certainly hope this afternoon has sparked some curiosity about local government and inspired them to learn more,” the Belize City Council noted.
