International News: Inflation hits Facebook’s parent company Meta; 3rd round of employee layoffs

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Facebook’s parent company, Meta conducted their third round of layoffs.

The layoffs are in line with Meta’s plans to eliminate 10,000 roles, Reuters report.

Earlier this year, Meta announced the layoffs following waning revenue growth and high inflation.

Employee’s working in areas of marketing, recruiting, engineering and corporate communications took to LinkedIn to say they had been laid off.

Chief Executive Officer, Mark Zuckerberg said that about 4,000 employees lost their jobs in April’s layoffs.
