Father convicted of six counts of incest after being found guilty of having sex with his own daughter, aged 13

By Aaron Humes: A father who had intercourse with his own daughter on no less than six occasions between 2014 and 2019 will serve a concurrent prison term of 15 years.

The acts took place starting when the girl was 13 and continued to December 2019, when she was 18.

The trial began on April 19 before High Court Justice Antoinette Moore and concluded with a guilty verdict on all counts on May 10.

At sentencing, the prescribed sentences were as follows: count one and two, 12 years each; count three and four, 13 years each; count five, 14 years; and count six, 15 years, for a total of 79 years if run consecutively.

In the trial, the father was represented by defense attorney Hurl Hamilton.
