BEL announces emergency power outage in Orange Walk to replace broken high voltage pole

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: BEL announced an emergency power outage for a portion of the Orange Walk District for Saturday morning. BEL said its crews need to replace a broken high voltage pole due to a traffic accident on the Otro Benque Road.

BEL said the power will be cut from 10:30 am to 10:45 am and from 12:45 am to 1:00 pm in Orange Walk Town in the following areas: San Antonio Road, Fonseca Street, Cinderella Street, Rio Bravo Street, Liberty Avenue, Boundary Road, Palmar Road, Guyana Street, Dunn Street, Progress Street, Bliss Drive, Independence Street, Louisiana Road, Muffles Street, and surrounding areas.

Power will also be cut from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm in the portion of Orange Walk Town which includes Queen Victoria Avenue, Otro Benque Road from San Francisco Street to Lyle Street, Arthur Street, Park Street, Bethias Lane, Bautista’s Street, Main Street, Progresso Road, Avilez Lane, Market Lane, Riverside Street, Rear Slaughterhouse Street, La Democracia Street, Sandy Hunter Crescent, Hospital Crescent, Progresso Road, Petville, and San Estevan.
