Belize bow out of U21 Women NORCECA Pan Am Volleyball Cup with 3-0 loss to Guatemala

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize lost the final game 0-3 (19-25, 11-25, 22-25) to Guatemala on Sunday in the U21 Women’s NORCECA Pan American Volleyball Cup in Nogales, Mexico.  Unfortunately the loss means Belize finished in last place in the NORCECA tournament in their first ever participation at that level. The team fought hard until the last set in which it gave Guatemala a run for the money leading on several instances but couldn’t maintain the momentum to win at least a set in the competition.

Guatemala finished in seventh position.

Costa Rica will face Puerto Rico for fifth place at 4:00 pm.

Cuba will play the Dominican Republic for third place at 6:00 pm.

The United States play Mexico in the final at 8:00 pm.

The event is being live streamed on Codeson Sonora on Facebook.
